Eventually it seemed that while the BASIC version was good, it wasn’t going to be game I had dreamed of. Some friends convinced to to rewrite it in assembler, and GemQuest was born. I carried over a lot of the concepts and art, but added a lot more functionality,detail, nuance, and animation.
